Hello! Now, I'm in Cedar City, Utah. The past couple days have been tough. Yesterday was my longest day so far: 84 miles. I thought today was going to be easy, only 55 miles. But, they were some of the hardest miles I've ever done. It wasn't the terrain- it was the wind. It was against me all day. On average, I think it halved my speed. Also, I almost ran over a snake. But don't worry, I dodged.

I have been following your progress about every hour or so when I'm at home. I usually look at the "terrain" view in order to see the elevation. You have done some huge climbs! More than I have ever done. And it looks like another 5000' climb today. When you get back home, will we recognize you with those huge leg muscles? Once you cross the Great Divide, it's all downhill to the Mississippi, right? No? And don't worry, you wouldn't be the first cyclist to run over a snake (ahem).
